Why did you create this website when the official TMSSCR website already offers a way to
view report cards?
The official TMSSCR report card viewer requires students to log in with
their Student ID and Date of Birth every time they want to view results. This portal generates
direct links using Student IDs, making it faster, especially for parents checking multiple
students.
How does the Report Card Portal work?
The portal constructs direct URLs to the official TMSSCR report card viewer
based on the Student ID, session, class, group, and exam you select. All processing happens in
your browser.
Why does the report sometimes show a blank white screen after clicking a Student ID?
This usually happens because the portal uses HTTPS while the school's server uses HTTP.
Browsers block this "mixed content" for security.
Fix: Use the Copy Link button and paste the URL into a new
tab. If it still fails, try refreshing, checking your connection, clearing cache, or using a
different browser.
Why can't I see my report card even with the correct Student ID?
- The results for the selected exam session may not be published yet.
- You may have selected the wrong exam type or session.
Double-check the details and ensure results are available for the selected session.
Is it safe to use? Is my Student ID stored?
Yes. The portal does not store Student IDs or personal data. All processing
is done locally in your browser; nothing is sent to any server.
Is this website affiliated with TMSSCR?
No. This is an independent project created by a third-party developer
(pseudonym: FurtherSecrets) to help TMSSCR students access report cards more conveniently. It is
not officially affiliated with or endorsed by TMSSCR.
How do I find my Student ID?
Use the
Students Database page. Search by name
to find your ID. Note that the database covers students with IDs up to
5230.
The PDF opens but only the school name is visible. Why?
- The results for that exam have not been published yet.
- You selected the wrong Session or Exam type.
- The Student ID entered is incorrect.
Can I open reports for my whole class?
Yes. Add multiple Student IDs using the chip inputs (tap the
+ button to add another, or paste several IDs at once — they split into
chips automatically). An Open All Reports button appears when more than one ID
is entered, and a Compare Reports button appears when you have two or more IDs
to compare side by side.
What is the Report Summary feature?
When exactly one Student ID is entered, a Report Summary
button appears. It fetches that student's report live and shows their Total
Marks, GPA, Grade, Position in
Class, and number of
subjects, followed by a full subject-by-subject table (subject, max marks, marks
obtained, grade, and class highest). Select the correct Session / Class / Group / Exam / Report
Template first.
What is the Performance History feature?
When exactly one Student ID is entered, a Performance
History button appears. It opens a separate page that scans that student's report
cards across whole-year sessions (dash academic years like 2026-27 are skipped), auto-advancing
the class each older session. It always scans the class's two main exams — Half
Yearly & Annual for Nine, Eleven and below; Pre Test & Test
examination for Ten & Twelve. It scans every whole-year session
from the anchor year back to 2013, auto-advancing the class each older session (or keep the
same class with Class tracking). Results are cached in your browser per scan
settings, so revisits are instant. The
page shows stat cards (latest / best / average GPA, best / average total, record count), charts
(GPA over time, total marks over time, grade distribution, and per-subject marks for a chosen
exam — time-series charts run oldest to newest, left to right), a per-exam subject
breakdown table, and a full exam history table.
How do I compare two or more students?
Enter two or more Student IDs as chips, then tap Compare
Reports. The portal fetches each student's report live and shows a side-by-side
table ranked by GPA (then total marks), with averages and a best-performer highlight. Students
whose reports could not be fetched are listed separately with the reason.
What are bookmarks and how do I use them?
Bookmarks save your filled-in combination (Student IDs, Session, Class,
Group, Exam, and Report Template) so you can restore it later with one click. Tap the
bookmark icon next to the buttons, give it a name, and it appears in the
Saved Bookmarks section below the form. Click a bookmark's name to reload that
combination; use the pencil icon to rename or delete it. Bookmarks are stored only in your
browser.
How is the Report Template chosen automatically?
When you pick a Class and Examination that
have a known report template, the portal fills the Report Template dropdown for
you automatically (for example, Ten + Pre-Test selects the Pre Test marks sheet). You can still
override it manually if needed.
How do I open a report straight from the Students Database?
On the
Students Database page, tap the ID of
any student (it appears as a link with an arrow icon). The portal takes you to the report page
with that ID already filled in — just pick your Session / Class / Group / Exam (or load a
saved bookmark) and generate the report.
Why does a live report take a few seconds, or sometimes show a rate-limit error?
The school's server blocks requests coming from the hosting network
(Cloudflare), so the portal fetches reports through a free third-party reader service. This adds
a few seconds per report, and that free service has a rate limit — short bursts are
retried automatically, but under heavy simultaneous use a request can briefly fail with a
rate-limit error. Just try again after a moment, or use Copy Link to open the
report directly. For frequent use (e.g. comparing a whole class), a free Jina
API key raises the limit substantially — see the project README for how to set it.
The Database file isn't loading automatically.
If you opened the file directly from your computer, browser security rules
block automatic file reading. Use the Manual Load button to select
students.xlsx, or serve the website through a local server.
Why is the student database outdated?
The database is based on the latest available data from the official TMSSCR
system, which has not released records beyond Student ID 5230. Current school
IDs have exceeded 6000+, so newer students may not appear yet.
What is the future of this utility?
This utility is a temporary solution to help students access report cards
more easily. It is not intended to replace the official TMSSCR website. The developer plans to
maintain it as long as it remains useful, but there are no guarantees about long-term
availability.
What do the dropdown options (Session, Class, Group, Exam type) mean?
Session is the academic year (e.g., 2024 means the 2024–2025 year). Class covers Nursery through Twelve, split by stream (English Version, English Medium, Board Exams). Group applies to classes 9–12 (Science, Business Studies, Humanities). Exam type includes Half Yearly, Annual, Pre-Test, Test, Model Test, and board-specific exams like HSC/SSC.
If you're unsure, start with your current Session and Class, then try the most recent Exam type your school has conducted.
Why do I need to log in to the school site first?
You only need to log in at the
official TMSSCR site if you want to use the
View full profile feature in the portal — that requires an active session on the school's server. The report card links themselves work without logging in, so you can open them directly.
Can I save or download the PDF report card?
Once the report card opens in your browser, use your browser's print or save option (Ctrl+S or right-click > Save As) to download the PDF. On mobile, tap the download icon in the PDF viewer or use the share menu.
What's the difference between Open and Copy Link?
Open (or Open All Reports) opens the report card URL directly in a new tab. Copy Link copies the URL to your clipboard so you can paste it manually — useful when your browser blocks the mixed-content page (HTTPS to HTTP) and shows a blank screen.
How do I report a bug or give feedback?
Use the
Feedback button on any page to open the feedback form. Your message will be sent directly to the developer. You can also open an issue on the
project's GitHub repository.
Can I share my report card link with others?
Yes, but anyone with the link can view that report card without logging in. Share links carefully — they contain your Student ID and bypass the school's login page. Treat them like you would a physical report card.
